Here’s the data, which has been gathered up by Google, counting connections to the Android Market made by the various released Android builds over the 14-day period ending April 12.

So that’ll be all the poor HTC Hero owners of the world who FELT SO GOOD a mere eight months ago, plus a few Samsung stragglers and users of the more ’boutique’ devices from Motorola, LG and Acer.

I’ve found the figures skewed even more for 1.5 – over half of beebPlayer users are still stuck on this firmware, mostly owners of HTC Heros.

Quite unfortunate, as 1.6+ make beebPlayer a much better (and stabler) experience due to the improved OpenCore media libraries.

1.5 really needs to die. It’s lack of support for high-res screens is a real pain
