Oh, now it’s TURNED DIRTY. T-Mobile, which is struggling to meet demand for all the HTC Desire orders it’s taken, has now UPPED the price of its HTC Desire packages – no doubt in an effort to make a bit more money in return for all the hassle it’s getting.
Here are the current £25-a-month tariff options on T-Mobile’s site:
But back on March 22 we captured the below image of T-Mobile’s Desire packages, which were much, much more reasonable. See how the “Phone Cost” used to be MUCH lower:
So… a good £60 has been stuck on the one-off phone cost across the entire range of £25 tariffs. That’s a bit of quite shameful profiteering to take advantage of the Desire’s new-found popularity, isn’t it?
With thanks to vigilant reader “Adam” for caring enough to notice and send it in.

/ April 12, 2010Doesn’t T-Mobile still come out as the cheapest network to get the desire on though? Not only the cheapest but the 3GB of Bandwidth kills all the other networks offers.

/ April 12, 2010The £10 monthly plan (£164 phone cost) which was the cheapest over 2yrs has gone completely!!!

/ April 12, 2010Just had another email from T-Mobile this evening telling me they are out of stock again -.- I seriously hope they didn’t sell all 10,000 already, been waiting 2 weeks now.
On the plus side it looks like they may still honour my £10 p/m price plan,
“Rest assured the special offer price plan you saw on our website will still be available when we complete the phone order.”

/ April 13, 2010yup. me too. peeved right off. i was looking at the £15 w/ 300 mins unltd txt. the 3gb internet makes a big difference and frankly i dont know what vodafone are up to only offering 500mb with a data hungry phone like this. phone was £129, now £191. evil!!
can eurodroid give us a lowdown on the best deals for this phone? incidentally… 3mobile havent released their tarriff yet and although often expensive with crap rural coverage theyr by far the best for data – and apparantly they offer a 25% off NHS discount i could take advantage of…
