T-Mobile expecting "10,000" more HTC Desire phones next week

The ongoing STOCK CRISIS that’s hampering the launch of the HTC Desire in the UK continues, although UK network T-Mobile could be about to save the day – by flooding the country with a fresh batch of the most-wanted smartphone.

According to a poster on the T-Mobile forum today, T-Mobile is expecting another 10k HTC Desires to arrive on Wednesday of next week, which will be used to fulfill the orders of those poor souls still languishing on waiting lists.

T-Mobile will liberate us all! Here’s the comment:

“I have just been informed by a T-Mo store manager (chippenham) that they’re expecting to get stock in store on Wednesday. 10,000 handsets are on their way from HTC as we speak and should get to the T-Mo central distribution/warehouse a few days before Wednesday, fulfilling phone and online orders before the remainder gets filtered down to the high street stores”

And here, for the first time today, is our ALL-NEW stock image of the HTC Desire to celebrate this happy news:

Get used to this picture, it’s going to be up here about three times a day for the next month, we reckon. And please, no insensitive boasting if your Desire has already arrived. Some people are in tears over this.

T-Mobile customer support said that they only had around 400 phones delivered this week but are expecting a massive shipment (mentioned above) on Monday 12th. So those that have already placed orders online or by phone will have them on Tuesday

Cheers, Rich. Can’t believe what a mess it’s been. I reckon PAC codes are being requested like never before right now.

That’s awful. Feel really bad for anyone who signed up with T-Mo expecting a delivery before all the other networks.

  5. Utter lies

  6. Writing this from my 8 day old desire.
Phone is amazing. Have probs spelling ‘if’ or I’d or I’m in the compact qwerty keyboard tho. It won’t spell it! Thr is an update winging its way to the phone so I reckons that the delay for the phone is because of this small bug.

  7. And spelt the words above thru improvising…

I ordered the Desire with T-Mobile on the 1st April and was told it would be with me within 7 days. 11 days on and I still havent recieved it. I spoke to someone today who said they will definately be getting a shipment this week but ‘isn’t sure when exactly’. I’m furious with them as, not only have they lied about the delivery date, but, they ‘forgot’ to put my name of the waiting list for the phone. It’s all just lies! If the handset isn’t with me by the end of this week, I will be leaving!

I’m not here to boast about having a Desire, in fact I was fortunate to get the last one in my local store. Just lucky timing, really. Leaving t-mob to get the phone may be one option, except no one else has it either currently, although there are stores here and there that have them.

All I’ll say is it’s worth waiting for, this phone is the nuts!

It’s OK, Jay. You’re allowed to be happy. I’m only banning the IP addresses of people who talk about iPads.

All the people who don’t have this yet, wait.

Don’t rush and go grab a different phone. Even if it takes another month to get it, wait, its worth it.

Also from what we have seen so far there isn’t a better phone coming until the Evo
