YET MORE STATS: Android market share grows by 4% in a month

Regular readers will know there’s nothing we enjoy more than a good bit of DATA. And here’s a beautiful little chart courtesy of Comscore, which has once again been counting up smartphone subscriber numbers in North America.

Google’s mobile OS was the big winner between October 09 and January 10 – registering an enormous 4.3% increase in this three-month rolling average, mostly at the expense of Microsoft’s WinMO (down 4%) and Palm (down 2.1%).

And here’s the visual confirmation. RIM’s BlackBerry still owns the smartphone market:

Android is still feeling the reverberations from the publicity EXPLOSION of the past incredibly positive few months, what with handset makers throwing out phones like mad – and Motorola hitting the US hard with its stunningly successful DROID.
