Swype Beta now available for everyone

Swype, the gesture-enhanced alternate Android keyboard, has made its long-running testing process public over the weekend, inviting anyone to download and have a go on its tweaked Android keyboard.

Head over to Swype’s beta site and sign yourself up. It’s free and open to users anywhere. It’s not yet available on the Android Market, though, due to Swype preferring the business model of (a) giving it away for free and (b) trying to convince operators like (T-Mobile US, which includes Swype on its revamped myTouch 3G) to pre-load it onto phone as an extra-value additional spec sheet bullet-point.

We’ve signed up, and shall be taking 1000 screen grabs of the thing when it arrives.
