It’s Graph of the Day!
Today’s Android stats graph comes courtesy of MobClix and TechCrunch, showing the various percentages of free and paid-for apps on the four major smartphone formats – and Android is the leader by far when it comes to free content.
Here’s the data:
Now you could argue this is a bad thing for Android, with the format perhaps becoming home to “cheapskate” users who won’t consider paying for anything. That scenario would be great as far as Google is concerned, as it would dearly love nothing more than an entirely ad-funded world – but it won’t make good reading for independent Android developers trying to make a few dollars from selling their tools.
