If you’re new to Android following the late-2009 Android hype EXPLOSION and are thinking of getting onboard, now’s the perfect time. A whole slew of new Android phones are on the way, meaning there’s some good deals to be had from mobile operators trying to shift the less-desirable – but still perfectly functional – models.

The Galaxy Portal i5700 is a decent Android phone and shouldn’t be ignored in the face of the upcoming glamorous competition. The Portal packs in a 3.2megapixel camera, has a mid-range 3.2″ screen and as we’ve reported before, includes augmented reality app Layar as part of its pre-loaded collection of apps. We have no idea why.

HTC’s 4.3″ dual-core Android model, powered by Qualcomm’s all-new S4 processor. It’s smaller than the enormous One X, but is it as nice as its bigger brother? (SPOILER: Yes it is).
