Another day, another Motorola MILESTONE user rage story. Users of the MILESTONE have been kicking up a fuss for some time about the lack of openness with the phone’s bootloader, meaning it’s impossible to load custom ROMs on the Euro MILESTONE.
Aggrieved MILESTONE owners are now requesting people complain via DIGG, going so far as posting up links to DIGG on Moto Europe’s home page and suggesting users leave negative reviews of the phone on the Amazon product page and any other internet channels they see fit as part of a “PR Attack” on the company. A bit like the the last one, in fact.
And seeing as they’ve made a nice image to illustrate their campaign, we’re more than happy to help spread the news…
Good luck, MILESTONE warriors. We are with you in spirit, but won’t be joining you on the front line due to a recurring knee injury.

/ February 9, 2010Bummer! Canada is just getting the Milestone this month. I was considering it but if they are going to lock it down, I most definitely will NOT get one.
Relaxed
/ February 11, 2010Don’t listen to them. There’s maybe 10 keyboard warriors spamming Moto’s page. Nothing more than a couple nerds in a tizzy.
dissapointed
/ February 18, 2010Just arrived in Canada and it IS locked down as well. Been waiting a few months for this phone; which turns out to have been a total waste of time…
Im changing carriers out of spite…

/ February 20, 2010Hey…. I’m pissed too but you shouldn’t worry the needs are all over it…. the question is… how long? It seems that all things like this take a bit of time. Just got the milestone in canada… not bad was somehow expecting more, esp after seeing n900. However I will reserve judgement for later, just trying to enjoy it:)
