The slow, painful and frustrating roll out of the Android 2.0.1 bug-fixing update for the European MILESTONE has now limped across into Italy, with Motorola Europe launching the over-the-air-update for unbranded MILESTONES.
Here’s how Motorola Europe broke the news over the weekend. Apparently, if you have “WIND” (!!) the update won’t work for you:
“Italian fans, we have started to rollout the official Android 2.0.1 update for unbranded Milestone handsets – to install this on your device, simply go to Settings and select ‘System Updates.’ For Italian Milestone users with WIND, we don’t have a final timeframe just yet but we’ll keep you posted on details as soon as we receive them…”
So… how many unbranded Motorola MILESTONE users do you think there are in Italy? 50? 100? Maybe as many as 150? How we pity poor Motorola, having to launch this Android update in such a staggered fashion – and getting nothing but a kicking in return.
