Vodafone UK in bizarre abusive Twitter incident and mass apology

It looks like someone attempted a “joke” in the Vodafone UK office today, sending a rather offensive message via the company’s official Twitter page, a message which then appeared in the timelime of the mobile operator’s 9000 followers.

Here’s the message that was sent through Vodafone’s account today. It’s a bit rude, so scroll down really quickly if you’re easily offended by childish internet messages:

Looks like someone at Vodafone UK had a sudden career deathwish, or perhaps didn’t realise which account he or she was signed into. And here’s the result – an entire screen full of apologies.

…which pretty much confirms it was no accident – a Vodafone staff member actually went MAD today.
