HyperDevbox reveals ExZeus, coming soon to Android

Originally available in mobile format on iPhone and iPhone Touch last year, via home console versions for PlayStation2, Wii and others, insane 3D robot shooter ExZeus will soon be making the switch to Android.

And here’s a look at the Android version running on the Motorola DROID, uploaded today, courtesy of famed developer HyperDevbox.

That looks… unbelievably good. It’s like a proper game. The product description on the YouTube trailer says it’s currently in development for DROID / MILESTONE only, thanks, we’d imagine, to that amount of ACTION requiring a bit more processor power than most standard older Android phone’s 528MHz chips.

UPDATE:
HyperDevbox just told us it is “working on a Qualcomm chipset version” although the game will be released first on the DROID, with that Qualcomm version coming a week or two later. But there’s some bad news for owners of older phones from HyperDev – “[ExZeus] won’t be playable on a G1 or first generation Android phone, as their GPUs cannot handle the graphics“.
