FreeBit updates ServersMan@Android 2.0β, bringing "cloud" storage to Android

Not the catchiest of names, is it? We doubt that name’s even going to display properly up there on your browser, but still. A new version of ServersMan@Android 2.0β has just “gone live” on the Android Market, claiming to let users access data stored on their phone via a web browser.

Not exactly “cloud” computing in the proper sense, or in the correct sense, but still. Once signed up, ServersMan@Android 2.0β issues your phone with a custom URL (http://serversman.net/YOURPHONENAME), from which you can access its files. May come in handy if you’ve left your phone at work and want to get a photo off it. That’s literally the only use we can think of for it right now.

That image from the maker’s web site does not clear anything up at all. The proper press release is located here, if you want to try making a bit more sense of it than I’ve managed.
