Introducing the… Camangi WebStation Android tablet

The, er, Camangi WebStation is an Android-powered portable home internet tablet thing, that, despite having a very, very silly name, looks like being an extremely decent device – if only because it’ll let us run Android apps on an enormous 7″ screen that maxes out at an 800 x 480 resolution.

It’s also an e-book reader, but don’t hold that against it – Camangi’s gadget supports wi-fi and is compatible with 3G “dongles” for when you’re not at home on the internet in bed, plus it supports USB keyboards for if you’ve got fat fingers.

Here it is from the other side, switched off. This illustrates that it has another edge and can be turned “off” if you want to extend the battery life.

Look at that. What a lovely gadget. Shame it’s a bit useless in modern households where we all have a desktop, laptop and smartphone, but if you’re after something to place on your coffee table to use for idly scrolling through Twitter all evening as that’s more entertaining that watching Simon Cowell shovelling shit into your house through the TV, it, er, might do the job.
