Look at this lovely image, uploaded today by the Android Developers Blog. It shows who’s using what Android OS these days, who’s upgraded to Android 1.6, and that 0.3% of Android users are still using Android version 1.1. That’s about it. It’s a pie chart, full of facts.
It was created by measuring which Android versions were being used by the phones that connected to the Android Market during the first 14 days of December.
That’s us there in the Android 1.6 majority. Nice to be part of a majority. Very comforting. No idea when or even if there’ll be a build of Android 2.0 or 2.1 officially available for the HTC Magic. Perhaps we ought to ask Vodafone about that, as if we’re a proper news site?
Maybe we’ll do that tomorrow. Via Twitter.

/ December 18, 2009While you’re at it, any chance you could find out from T-Mobile if they are going to release any Android upgrade for the T-Mobile Pulse (on PAYG, if it matters). Don’t fancy being stuck on 1.5 now that so much cool stuff seems to be coming that requires at least 1.6 (Google Goggles, Navigator, etc) cheers!

/ December 18, 2009Hmm, I must’ve been a bit drunk last night when offering to do proper investigative research. But I will try. Via Twitter, or maybe email.
Leaving you hanging on 1.5 seems very mean of them.
