What is with these crazy mixed-up Android Twitter App developers? TwitterTweet is listed in the Android Market as “AndroTweet Twitter Client” yet when you install the App on your Android phone the App starts referring to itself as “TwitterTweet”.
Regardless of what you call it, it’s a decent App. TwitterTweet has been stripped down to a ridiculously basic level, barely offering any “graphics” at all – and your only options of consequence are to fiddle with the look of the thing and adjust your Notifications settings.
That really is it. These two screenshots are pretty much the whole thing.
It’s the Twitter App equivalent of being a Guinness drinker – TwitterTweet is cool, quirky, black and simple. Most people won’t like it, but we like it because it’s different and precisely BECAUSE other people won’t like it. That’s modern rebellion for you.
It’s probably too simple for most Twitter users and could do with a few more features, but… it’s so different and cool we can’t help but like it. Plus when you update the Tweet feed the automated message says “Timeline has been reloaded” – which makes you feel like Doctor Who.
This one’s not getting deleted, and will remain on the EuroDroid HTC Magic as occasional/light backup Twitter App. We’ll give it an 8/10.
